Sweet Tea is one of my favorite Spring-time beverage choices. Today I’m sharing a family favorite! I love this recipe for it’s ease, money & time saving qualities; definitely my go-to choice!
Did you know that Arm & Hammer baking soda, just a pinch, will give your tea a smooth taste? Be careful; too much will produce a ‘chalky’ aftertaste.
Would love to hear how it works for you!
Enjoy! ~Benita
Ingredients:
1 pinch Arm & Hammer baking soda
2 cups boiling water
6 tea bags
3/4-1 cup white sugar (if I have it, I use Sugar In The Raw as an alternative)
6 cups cool water
Directions:
1. Sprinkle a pinch of baking soda into a 64-ounce, heat-proof, glass pitcher. Pour in boiling water and add tea bags. Cover and allow to steep for 10minutes.
2. Remove tea bags, and discard; stir in sugar until dissolved. Pour in cool water, then refrigerate until cold.
